Is therapy right for me?
This is a very personal decision. Sometimes we think we are doing just fine, and other times we need a little extra support. Therapy is for anyone who wants to make changes in their lives, grow in a new direction or feels stuck and unsure how to proceed. If you want to know if therapy is right for you, please give us a call and we can discuss if therapy can be beneficial for your particular circumstances.
What should I expect from my first session?
The first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and to determine if our therapeutic style is a good fit for you. We will ask questions about what brought you to therapy and what your goals are. It is also a chance for you to ask us about our experience, history and how we will approach our work together. I will review confidentiality, payment, cancellations and communication between appointments.
How do you handle confidentiality?
All information shared in session is confidential with safety as the only exception. This means if you are in danger of hurting yourself or someone else, or (for clients under 18) if someone else is hurting you, then we will do whatever is necessary to keep you safe, including notifying important people in your life.
When working with couples, we have a "no-secrets" policy, meaning we will not keep information between the two parties confidential. However, we will not share with an outside third party.
Do you accept insurance? How are Payments made?
We do not accept insurance, but we are willing to provide you with a summary bill at the end of the month for you to submit to your insurance or flexible spending account.
We charge $225 for licensed clinicians and $175 for associates for a 50 minute session. We accept cash, venmo, check or credit card. Payment is due at the start of each session
What is your cancellation policy?
We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you don't cancel within the cancellation window, you will be charged for the full session.
